Conformed or Informed?
1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
I decided one day to make a cake, so I took my bowl and added the ingredients mixed it very good then poured it into my bunt pan. When the cake was finished I dumped it out and it looked just like my bunt pan.. The milk, eggs, butter, flour, vanilla & sugar had conformed to that bunt pan and when pulled away from the pan it still looked like the bunt pan.. The ingredients transformed from egg, milk, etc.. Into Cake.. But the cake itself conformed to the shape of the pan..
Are you conforming to the world, or are you transforming into Holiness?? That is the goal..
“Be ye holy, for I am holy.” You can transform into Holiness and conform to the likeness of Christ..
What are you conforming to? Is your mold holiness? Which is pure and to be set apart.. Are you set apart?… Is your mold worldliness? Do you fit in to worldly activities? Can people look at you and tell you are different? Or do you look and act the same as everyone else? What are you putting into your mold, it will make a difference.. Sometimes we are the only Christ people will see, how do you make Christ look? 1 Peter 1:15-16 KJV “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy.”
Just a thought.. Thanks to Pastor Phillip Brown for this great message
